Kenya needs a renaissance!
We have formally notified the U.S. State Department and the Department of Health of binding interim conservatory orders issued by the High Court of Kenya on 28 May 2026, which immediately halt the proposed establishment of any U.S.-backed Ebola exposure, quarantine, isolation, or treatment facility within Kenyan borders.
Senegal’s former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko was suddenly removed from office by the president on Friday. Now, he has been elected as Speaker of the National Assembly, which could cause political tension in the country.
He was elected by 132 Members of Parliament. MPs who support President Faye did not attend the vote.
This situation has led to questions about whether Sonko could try to start impeachment proceedings against President Faye, who had fired him.
This is the Kenya we want!!😂
Ousmane Sonko is expected to assume the presidency of #Senegal’s National Assembly, where his PASTEF party commands a strong majority, in a direct challenge to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
Deputies have been summoned to a full session of the assembly on Tuesday morning to reinstate Sonko as a member of parliament and vote for a new President of the Assembly.
El Malick Ndiaye, President of the National Assembly and a close ally of Sonko resigned on Sunday.
Now, this further complicates reform efforts by Faye, who sacked Sonko on Friday after months of tensions.
Faye has to name another Prime Minister to replace Sonko, and that choice will have to be approved by the National Assembly within three months of the nomination.
President Faye cannot dissolve parliament itself until November, two years after the last parliamentary election.
And a reform of the electoral code approved by parliament a few weeks ago means that Sonko is now eligible to run for the presidency.

Kenyan police allowed Arsenal fans to gather and disperse peacefully but they never allow the same youth to protest against the government without killing some
Unpopular opinion:
Edwin Sifuna and Linda Mwananchi just missed one of the biggest political moments of the year.
The minute fuel prices went up, they should have called for a massive rally in Nairobi or Mombasa and taken charge of or amplified the public mood, even protests.
Because Kenyans are angry.
And for good reason.
Fuel touches everything:
-Transport.
-Food.
-Business.
-Rent.
-Daily survival.
This was the moment to stand at the front, defend the people, pressure the government, and force the country to focus on the pain wananchi are feeling. Be the leader.
Instead, everyone was largely silent.
Ironically, it was Rigathi Gachagua who appeared more vocal against the government on the issue.
And yes, I know many people will disagree with me.
But I support Sifuna. And as real supporters, we must speak honestly.
Politics is about timing.
Some moments can elevate a politician from “popular leader” to serious presidential material almost overnight.
This was one of those moments.
And they let it pass. They should act fast when such moments arise.
Kenya hukuwa one big crime scene, OCS anaachilia watu wa protest then anashikwa juu ya same reason, Kenyans wakaamua kumwendea mahali ameshikwa and he's now a free man 😂😂
