Ryder the horse was forced to work in scathing heat to pull rich tourists around in Central Park. He collapsed, and the police/workers responded by yanking his collar and yelling at him to get back up. (Make sure to turn on sound.)
Partly due to public outcry over stories like Ryder's, every NYC mayor in recent history has promised to ban this vile business.
Every one has also broken that promise.
