Welcoming the ruling, Zaba described the prosecution as a year of trauma, uncertainty and repeated court appearances, saying it should never have happened.

Karanda Mission Hospital in northern Zimbabwe is seeking US$1.5 million to expand its facilities, upgrade medical equipment and build staff housing as surging patient numbers strain its resources.

The family of former Zambian President Edgar Lungu has won a legal battle against President Hakainde Hichilema’s government in South Africa’s Supreme Court, clearing the way for the late leader to be buried at a location chosen by his family and bringing an end to a dispute that has stretched on for more than a year.

For decades, residents of Matapi Flats have endured overcrowding, broken sewer systems, deteriorating buildings and poor living conditions. Successive governments and local authorities have known about these problems, yet little has been done.
Now, Engineer Collins Takunda Mnangagwa has launched a major refurbishment project under the ED AID1 initiative.
The question many are asking is: Who should have been responsible for fixing Matapi all along, the City Council, central government or private initiatives?
And perhaps more importantly: Why has it taken this long for action to be taken?
