Day 3 of the 278th ACR Best Warrior Competition
Troopers tackled early morning land navigation, Army Warrior Tasks, and a 12-mile ruck march. Now, it’s time to hit the books and prep for the board and ceremony.
At the forefront of ensuring mission success, we are proud to highlight the joint efforts of our dedicated Guardsmen from the 2nd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, and the remarkable Airmen from the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron. Recently, we conducted thorough inspections and facilitated the secure transport of M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, working hand-in-hand to meet every safety standard.

80 years ago today, our lineage unit, the 117th IR, 30th ID, began landing in Normandy, France. From June 14-19, 1944, they established themselves near the Normandy Beaches, later participating in major WWII campaigns. Their bravery and battle streamers continue to inspire us.
