I'm not a dog person. I grew up with not one, but two great danes. Dogs are fine as long as they're not mine. And dogs actually like me, despite me not being a dog person.

But there's one canine I'm absolutely terrified of.

A Japanese guy was gushing about how generous JAL was for offering 40,000 yen to get bumped off a flight.
I replied that's on the low end and in my experience Japanese airlines are very stingy when it comes to compensation for volunteers to take a later flight.

I got blocked.

@dokool I know! I'm like, nope I'm getting on this flight.
And even for an international flight 40,000 is like an absolute bare minimum. Nothing generous about it.
I got 400 euros last time I was in Europe and a meal voucher to take a flight that was departing 2 hours later.
