Harm reduction is harm induction.

Physically tortured into permanent disability by the healthcare system.

[Claudia A. Merandi @CMerandi]

@lucaspickford2: I was taken off of 2mg of Klonopin a day for the better part of 10 years. The doctor just said “I’m sorry I can’t prescribe that to you .anymore.” and cut me off cold turkey. It was the most terrifying, harrowing six weeks of my life. It was really, really awful. I won’t”

Doctors are cutting patients off benzodiazepines because of the fearmongering coming from physicians who demonize these medications, along with increasing government scrutiny and regulatory pressure. Benzodiazepines are legitimate medications that can be life-changing and, in some circumstances, lifesaving.

Me waiting for anyone in Authority to realize that Prohibition has only made things worse in America.

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@Asteroidplease1 @blu_noz_pitbull @CMerandi Then respect the lives that have been saved by them! YOU DON'T GET TO ASK FOR WHAT YOU DON'T GIVE WHICH IS RESPECT! I'VE BEEN PERMANENTLY DESTROYED BY MANY MEDICATIONS BUT I KNOW THEY HELP OTHERS AND WOULD NEVER WANT THEM TAKEN FROM PEOPLE BECAUSE I'M NOT A MURDERER!

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@CMerandi @Asteroidplease1 YEP WE'RE SOOOO PRIVILEGED AREN'T WE?! WE CANT POSSIBLY KNOW ABOUT THIS STUFF BECAUSE WE'VE FUCKING LIVED IT AND YOU PERSONALLY HEAR HUNDREDS OF STORIES ALL DAY EVERYDAY! I'm sorry about the cussing BUT I AM TIRED!

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@Asteroidplease1 @CMerandi I'm alive right now because of a benzo. Heart medications almost killed me. Benzo put it in remission. YOU are killing people by spreading whatever the hell this is and I am FUCKING TIRED OF YOUR KIND! I DID NOT SURVIVE WHAT IVE SURVIVED TO ENDURE YOU & YOUR SHIT!

[Claudia A. Merandi @CMerandi]

I was also raised to hold physicians in high esteem. That’s no longer the case.

It’s dangerous to leave a loved one alone in the hospital.

It’s dangerous for a pain patient to go to an interventional pain doctor.

Patients are no longer safe unless they know how to defend themselves from medical predators

There’s some great doctors, but there’s a generation who believe all harms are acceptable as long as they don’t treat pain

[Claudia A. Merandi @CMerandi]

Millions are being ripped off their life-saving benzodiazepines, including individuals, living with muscular dystrophy/cerebral palsy/ALS

@DrJosefWD have you been retained by a law firm?

[Bev Schechtman🇮🇱 @ibdgirl76]

This narrative that all chronic pain is due to childhood abuse or sexual assault is one of the most dangerous false narratives in healthcare today.

We now live in a country where rapists can get their pain treated and the victims cannot.

The Harm Reduction Playbook. Now that I have it in my possession I’m absolutely DISGUSTED that the only mention of pain patients is to USE them to further push Harm Reduction.
Wow.
#FUCKHR

[Claudia A. Merandi @CMerandi]

It’s astounding that doctors could actually believe opioids cause pain much less publicly admitting it

Doctors are some of the smartest dumbest people I know

@ProtonMail I've been compromised by tmobile 4 times, Comcast, and even Google. I lived. Because I have many other things in place where Google can't even compromise itself. Don't raw dog the internet. This is giving 🚩.

[Claudia A. Merandi @CMerandi]

My colleague, Bev is far kinder than I am

We’ve created a generation of weak- minded individuals.

I blame this on participation trophies and bad parenting.

As a single mom, I ruled with an iron fist and I’m glad I did.

Today’s harm reductionists have led addicts to believe there was nothing wrong with lying, cheating, diverting, and to blame their woes on doctors.

How about you apologize instead?

How about: “I’m sorry my actions have led to people being denied pain medication?”

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@ibdgirl76 I may not say much but its bc I dont know enough & Im not going to speak on things I dont feel confident I know enough about. So I continue to seek out education & leave space for folks like you who are living this & have lived this through generations. Im listening & learning.

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@ibdgirl76 Being born and raised in MI I was taught Henry Ford was this great inventor who changed the world in school 🙄. Wasn't until I left school and was taking a GED course that I learned the truth and continued to unlearn my white washed education.

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@mmdd2006 That's all I'm allowed to say publicly.

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

I lost a relative to a pain pump in 2014.

[Claudia A. Merandi @CMerandi]

I have over 600,000 who follow me on social media

I cannot find 200 to tell me the spinal cord stimulator has improved their quality of life.

One law firm reports 80,000 deaths associated with the spinal cord stimulator

Pain Medicine News should be reported for spreading misinformation and unproven claims

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@weall8stardustt @CMerandi I very much believe it has its place, you prove that! Medicine isn't one size fits all but that's unfortunately what we're up against and it's wrong. Your recovery should be a human right and the form of healthcare I need should be aswell. Thanks for responding :)

[Stephanie @2ComplexSteph]

@weall8stardustt @CMerandi Claudia and her organization @Drptforum are saving lives all day everyday bringing awareness to those of us that this medication isn't ment for. I've watched it personally destroy the life of a loved one who should have never been prescribed it.
