Completion LawnCare is now available to play!
the full game works in your browser, but the desktop version runs a bit faster and allows fullscreen mode (for a minimum price of $0)

@OrangePython117 ahh i misunderstood - an itch release is _possible_ but i've heard that playdate games get very few sales over there...so i guess it depends on how many people request it (full disclosure: you're the first)
whelp turns out i can't figure out how to get it back to 40 (particularly with 4 ghosts active) but 30 actually looks fine on the device - the lower framerate is only noticeable to me when testing in the desktop simulator
something something magic playdate screen. good enough!
@OrangePython117 unfortunately it's a native app for one specific embedded platform - would take quite a bit of lifting to make a desktop game out of it!
@RobotPiratNinja@terabyte128@Grady_Booch@pankajdoharey i'm not a fashionista, i wear clothes because i want to stay warm and hide my butt from public view
i engage with other forms of art because i want a peek at what some person was thinking and feeling. i can't get that from an image generator
have a nice day, though!
@JoeBooth2024@edoublea@UnrealEngine what i've heard (grain of salt) is that they're sampling different lights on different frames and accumulating the results - this would imply it looks good for slow-moving stuff, and noisier/less-accurate for fast things
pretty great tradeoff for cyan's style of games!
trackminia has been approved for sale on the official playdate catalog!
releasing in...a few months, it pretty much depends on their release schedule. will update when i know more
@ImpossibleScott@FreyaHolmer everyone who uses it has to make the same game, it doesn't allow devs to add difficulty settings, and it has no concept of array.includes(), because diversity, equity, and inclusion are bad words
For everyone weβve reached out to over the past few weeks, the P8GO app is now live on the Play Store!
Weβd really appreciate you retweeting this so we can reach more players and developers to get them excited about playing PICO-8 on mobile.
For new people reading this post, weβre the dev team at P8GO and we are making a Tiktok-style Android/iOS app where you can swipe through carts one after another. The goal of the app (100% free, no ads) is to give exposure to PICO-8 projects by putting them on mobile with an interface that encourages discoverability.
Things we've added since our initial announcement 1 month ago:
1. Daily Challenges, which you can find on our website
2. Save States - Save and load your game at any time
3. Retro Console/Bluetooth controller support
4. Landscape mode
5. Search
6. Increased Portrait Screen Size
7. New Collections page UI
