React Native apps feel like they're made of thin creaky plastic that sounds hollow when you tap on it while native apps feel like they're made of dense glass and aluminium. no I will not elaborate
NEW: Part 2 of "Beyond ZK" - our guide to Web3 privacy - is here! 🚀
@guyzys of @scrt_labs dives deep on #FHE, #MPC, #TEEs, and #ZKPs - especially strengths and shortcomings - as potential pragmatic solutions to the blockchain privacy problem 👇

@RelyteCrypto No, you can’t go from private key to mnemonic. The mnemonic is a representation of a number which is then hashed before creating private keys, and as you probably know hashes only go one way

1/ I'd like to go into more detail and share some thoughts that may not be obvious to many.
But first, let me say that I’m extremely proud of how @scrt_labs effectively handled this disclosure and worked with the researchers to protect our users and community.
A thread ...
@balajis Fact checked
"The two major innovations on Bitcoin were in the direction of programmability (Ethereum) and privacy (Zcash).
The ideal is “@SecretNetwork” which unifies both concepts at the base layer. An L1 running for 2 years already."
🧵
Millions of DeFi traders on public blockchains have been secretly taken advantage of over the past few years in a process called Miner Extractable Value
In this thread I'll explain what MEV is, how it works and how #SecretNetwork got rid of this problem

Today, it’s your financial privacy that’s at risk.
Tomorrow, it might be strong encryption messaging they come after.
One benefit of @SecretNetwork is programmable privacy, which also means the anonymity set grows with #users and #apps. Good day to check Secret out..
@gadikian I guess someone doing an airdrop could provide the coin type, and any user should be able to derive a public key by themselves. If there is special smart contract queries needed it might need an additional wallet software, but a seed phrase shouldn’t be needed ever
@gadikian Exactly, a seed phrase is just 256 bits if entropy. It should be feasable to be able to generate everything you need on your own. I would love to get your input on something I’m working on after you have nailed down the capabilites of a HD wallet
