The same mRNA technology that made the COVID-19 vaccine possible will soon be used in flu vaccines for older Americans.

The FDA has approved a new shot from Moderna — called "mFlusiva" — for adults ages 50 to 64. The company is also seeking full approval for adults 65 and older.

Compared to traditional shots, mRNA vaccines are quicker to manufacture — and experts say that could help protect against future strains of influenza as they emerge.

The FDA had initially refused to consider Moderna's application amid the Trump administration's heightened scrutiny of vaccines.

Teacher posts video of mold destroying everything she paid for in her classroom… and gets fired for it.

A teacher came back from summer break to find her entire classroom covered in mold.
Her chair. Her ottoman. Picture frames. Posters. Books she kept neat all year. All ruined because there was no AC running in the building over the summer.

She said it out loud: teachers are the ones funding these classrooms in the first place, and they do not get paid enough for this.

Then the video got taken down. And according to multiple posts circulating, she was fired for sharing it.

She was not complaining about the school’s budget. She was showing the damage to items she paid for with her own money so kids would have a decent classroom.

This is the system. Teachers spend their own paychecks to make rooms livable, then face consequences for documenting when the building itself is unsafe.

Parents deserve to know what their kids are walking into. Teachers should not lose their jobs for saying it.

My HS graduation gift of a Smith-Corona electric typewriter saved me so n college. Replace Chromebooks with typewriters.

The Incident: On April 25, 1980, the Trump Organization executed an eviction against Mary Filan, a 74-year-old widow who was partially paralyzed from a recent stroke.
The Location: The eviction occurred at her rent-controlled apartment in Flushing, Queens, where she had lived for over 30 years.
The Dispute: The Trump Organization claimed she owed four months of back rent. However, Filan maintained that her rent was fully paid, stating that her last bill was a minor balance of $10.20, which she had already cleared.
The Aftermath: City marshals and moving crews removed her belongings—including her furniture and jewelry—leaving her sitting on a laundry hamper in the apartment. Due to the trauma and her medical condition, neighbors and city social services arranged for her immediate admission to a local hospital.

When questioned at the time, a spokesperson for the Trump Organization stated that management handled those issues and that they "don't get involved with individual cases."
