Rep. Randy Fine (then a Florida state rep) was caught on video in the FL House chamber reaching across empty desks and pressing electronic voting buttons for multiple absent members during debate on an anti-BDS bill.
He said he was assisting with technical glitches and believed he had permission. FL House rules require in-person voting by the member; proxy voting is generally prohibited.
It was treated as a rules issue with no criminal charges. The clip resurfaced recently.
