Thank you @GovShapiroPA for recognizing the economic, public health and quality of life benefits of PA’s great outdoors, and the need to invest in these assets.
We were in Mechanicsburg Wednesday with @Governor Shapiro & @REI 's Mary Beth Laughton to announce the launch of the Outdoor Business Alliance of Pennsylvania, an effort to elevate outdoor recreation businesses and grow PA's $19 billion outdoor economy. https://t.co/HxshlWrdIs
In PEC's latest op-ed, President Tom Gilbert discusses how investing in the outdoors delivers huge returns for communities and conserves beloved landscapes:

With federal staffing cuts and campground closures, thankfully PA’s state parks are still open and still awesome! @DCNRnews@PECPA@LVNewsdotcom https://t.co/MKrm0ntW6g
Wonderful to join @PennEnvironment and other partners to tour @BucksCoAudubon impressive solar array that is generating clean energy and cost savings - let’s keep federal solar incentives in place and expand state incentives!
Celebrating sustainability! ☀️
Yesterday, DCNR unveiled the 30th solar array on Pennsylvania's public lands!
The 342-kW array, which provides shade for cars in the Quaker Race Day Use area at Gifford Pinchot State Park, will save taxpayers more than $45,000 annually on electricity and reduce the DCNR's carbon footprint by over 163 metric tons per year—equivalent to removing 38 passenger cars from the road.
Still open. Still awesome. Still powered by nature.

Joined members of the @DelRivCoalition for the #CDRWHillDay and found strong bipartisan support for protecting and restoring the Delaware River Watershed @PECPA
Thank you @RepBrianFitz@RepDwightEvans and @RepSherrill for leading on this. Now more than ever we need bipartisan leadership to protect and restore the waterways that are vital our health, economy and quality of life. #DelawareRiver
ICYMI: I introduced the bipartisan Delaware River Basin Restoration Program Reauthorization Act of 2025 because protecting the Delaware River isn’t just about conservation—it’s about safeguarding public health, strengthening our economy, and securing our future.
This legislation will:
✅ Invest in local conservation efforts
✅ Improve water quality for millions
✅ Restore vital ecosystems and habitats
✅ Expand outdoor recreation opportunities
Every federal dollar invested generates lasting returns—creating jobs, fortifying communities, and ensuring the Delaware River Basin remains a thriving natural and economic powerhouse for generations to come.
Proud to join @RepDwightEvans and @RepSherrill in advancing this critical initiative.

When PJM’s next auction was set to result in historic price hikes, I filed a lawsuit to stop this price hike on consumers and defend Pennsylvanians.
PJM is the company that manages getting electricity from power plants to your home. You might not have heard of them, but they play a big role in keeping the lights on.
That's why I took action — and today, I’m proud to announce that this settlement will save Pennsylvania consumers $21 billion over the next two years.
Trump’s reversal of climate commitments puts lives and property at risk, allows other nations to lead on clean energy industries of the future https://t.co/pix8aKMNmY
