With the ongoing hatred towards the Obama, it’s surprising that they have the audacity to build this nearly billion-dollar Presidential Center. This isn’t just any Presidential center; it’s a significant investment in Black History, Black Excellence and the South Side of Chicago.
The Obama Presidential Center was intentionally created as a privately operated institution through the Obama Foundation rather than as a traditional presidential library run by the federal government. Supporters argue that this structure allows the Center to maintain greater control over its mission, programming, and educational initiatives, including preserving and highlighting Black history, civil rights, and community engagement.
The Center’s library and museum collection features works by some of the most influential Black authors, historians, poets, and activists, including The 1619 Project, The Souls of Black Folk, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, The New Jim Crow, Between the World and Me, and books celebrating Black excellence for young readers.
For many supporters, the Obama Presidential Center is more than a museum—it is an investment in education, history, leadership, and the future of Chicago’s South Side. They see it as a place where Black history, civic engagement, and community empowerment can be preserved and shared for generations to come.

Leftists be like “‘Fuck You Kamala Harris!”
Kamala Harris was one of the first Democrats to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor and he thanked her for support.
Leftists would not have Mamdani as mayor today w/o the support from Kamala Harris, her step-daughter, and her niece. ☕️
🚨BREAKING: Rep. Ritchie Torres, whom 'experts' not too long ago predicted to be the most vulnerable NY Dem congressional incumbent, didn't just win but CRUSHED his primary opponent by a whopping FIFTY percent.
Incumbent success like this deserves more attention.
Hateful, polarizing, and divisive rhetoric was rejected by the voters of NY15, who instead chose Ritchie Torres's bridge-building and proven track record of delivering on housing and affordability.
Torres' journey from growing up in public housing in the Bronx, being raised by a single mother facing poverty, and his struggles with depression in his late teens and talking about it publicly have always inspired me and many others who consider him a mentor.
This interview he gave in his first year in Congress, where he shared his vision for his district and overall in the House of Representatives, might explain why he's among the most effective Democrats in Washington.
Worth watching:
