One of my favorite exercises overall: KB or DB farmer carries.
Hands down something I try to incorporate at least 1-2x week.
Studies of shown that increased grip strength can be a correlative to increased longevity. Obviously there’s a lot more that goes into it, but carries seem to be overlooked more often than not.
I recommend adding them in as a skill component or as part of your conditioning piece.
Today’s how to series: GHR’s on the GHD. I love these for working the hamstrings.
Feet are between the pads
Heels closer to the top pad
Knees pushed down on the backside of the pad
Slowly extend the knee, allowing your body to go to parallel to the floor
Engage the hamstrings and pull yourself back up to the top position.
This is a very advanced movement, especially if you’ve never trained your hamstrings so there are some regression you can utilize for this. I’ll share that video later.
Got a different flight, now @AmericanAir - to get to my final destination and we only have 40 min to taxi and take off before they close the airspace again, but just sitting at the gate with no communication… beyond irritated and would wish for some communication from them. Makes me want to fly less and less with this BS
@united been trying to leave Washington airport but only giving 40 min to taxi and get off the ground to leave. Intentionally not pushing plane away? Beyond frustrated with this situation and lack of communication
On my flight out to Croatia, there was a maintenance issue with the @united flight, which caused my flight to be delayed three hours where I missed my connecting flight and had to have the flight rescheduled.
On my return flight (still in the middle of it) there was another maintenance issue that delayed my flight for another three hours. It seems to me that United has a lot of maintenance issues that delays and cancel flights. Wouldn’t this be a sign to take care of the planes so there aren’t so many delays/cancellations?
Definitely venting my frustrations with this ongoing issue.

What is yours?
Whether you’re doing them with just bodyweight or with a KB or DB - I believe they’re one of the most functional movements.
Hiking, climbing, going upstairs, etc I love this movement.
You can also regress the movement to a 45 pound plate or a 12 inch box so it’s easier for people that can’t step up to a 20 inch or 24 inch box yet.
