32BJ's Massachusetts & RI districts, or "District 615" for short.
20,000+ members in MA and RI — including cleaners, security officers, airport workers + more!
Hey there👋🏽
Happy to officially announce the official X account for @32BJSEIU's MA and RI districts — home to over 20,000 members including cleaners, security officers, facilities and airport workers, amongst others. Follow us for the latest updates and activities!
Last week, we published a co-authored report with @32BJMARI, "Healthcare - Who Can Afford It?", which examines Greater Boston’s extreme racialized inequality that has led to a healthcare crisis.
TODAY: we joined several local SEIU chapters in RI to announce our endorsement of @DavidMoralesPVD for Mayor of Providence!
PVD deserves a mayor who prioritizes affordability, justice, + dignity in their agenda and David does exactly that. We're ready to vote him in this fall!
Join us at 4 PM today in Copley Square as we stand with our partner @32BJMARI and workers calling for affordable healthcare.
MassBudget co-authored “Healthcare – Who Can Afford It?”, a new report on healthcare access among union members.

Today, on the eve of #Juneteenth, and in the thick of #ImmigrantHeritageMonth, we’re rallying with 32BJ airport and security members to demand healthcare for our hardworking union members.
Thank you Boston City Councilor @Ruthzee, Somerville City Councilor Will Mbah, and candidate for Massachusetts State Senate Latoya Gayle for joining us and standing with workers in their fight for healthcare!
We need leaders to prioritize healthcare for working people – not more funding for ICE terror, family separation, and harm to our communities.
Add your voice: tell us how healthcare cuts and ICE abuses affect you. Upload a video: https://t.co/y77YWsYWHn #HealthcareNotHate
Thanks to Mayor Wu for lifting up the work of 32BJ janitors at the launch of the FIFA Fan Fest at Boston City Hall Plaza today. They are among the thousands making the World Cup happen in MA this week!
This ordinance is over half a year in the making, and we couldn't have done it without the workers who stuck by our side the whole.
Thank you Medford Council President Bears for spearheading this ordinance and for your tireless work. Now let's get this signed by the Mayor!
A unanimous 7-0 vote!
Tonight, the City of Medford voted in favor of passing the Medford Standard Compensation Ordinance, introduced by Medford Council President Bears, which would provide contracted and subcontracted building service workers working in Medford City buildings 🎊
We're proud to announce our endorsement of @TeamTram for the MA-6th Congressional District!
We are confident in her ability to deliver an affordable, pro-worker, and pro-labor agenda that will serve us all.
Let's go get her elected!
June is #PrideMonth. As rights are rolled back and freedoms face attacks, we stand with LGBTQIA+ workers and communities fighting for dignity, safety, and justice. Together, we organize. Together, we fight back.
Airline consolidation is bad for airport workers and airline passengers alike. From Boston to Newark and all across the country, we need more affordability and reliability, NOT higher prices and fewer choices.
As Spirit Airlines exits Newark Airport, working families and airport workers cannot afford even more airline consolidation at EWR.
Passengers need more competition, affordability, and reliability — not higher prices, fewer choices, and growing pressure on workers.
Statement from @Ana_Maria_Hill , Vice President and New Jersey State Director of 32BJ SEIU:
SEIU 509 was proud to be at the Boston Pride Parade with our SEIU union siblings! 💪🏳️🌈 LGBTQIA+ rights are workers' rights. And this #PrideMonth, we're making that crystal clear—at work and in our communities.
