We’ve had a makeover… a short thread! 🧵 @Leic_hospital Here on 36, we had a dreary and cluttered day room. Our patients didn’t use it and our staff thought it was a wasted space! Before #Covid hit us, we had BIG ideas!

We’ve got an entertainment corner with a piano, Bluetooth speakers and a tv! A dining room table so that our patients can sit and eat their dinner at.

Why do I love working in #GeriMedicine ? Because the 98 year old patient (who insists on calling me #Sister and not Laura) said I looked young! I’m taking that as a serious win seeing as I’ve got pandemic bags under my eyes and I’m permanently tired! Benefits of wearing a mask!
