BMA over last 20 years have negotiated major money, structural contract changes, and national settlements for both employed doctors and self-employed GP contractors. Whilst BDA may have shaped the debate it has not managed contractual leverage in 20 years

The current NHS contract was imposed on the profession 20yrs ago. Since then no progress in “negotiations” to reform the “not fit for purpose” contract.
