@JeremyVineOn5 There are no jobs.
There are no jobs even for the fit, able, qualified and keen.
Employers are getting 300 to 8000 applications for a single vaccancy.
It's pointless to add another 2 million more 'looking for work'.

@statsjamie@AtDalby "but 300k where noone ever worked"
Isn't that just 1%, so forget about it.
I know of a least 8 houses, & least 50 shops, that have been boarded up for over 12 years.๐
What 'work' should they do, become MPs?

@offgriddesigner I'm sure that HK pic wasn't real, there was only ever the one image that I found, and it makes no sense.
There's all kinds of storage rooms and corridors in a hospital that the public and even patients don't see.
It looks like laundry.
@GBNEWS@GloriaDePiero You both should be ashamed of yourselves.
Has either of you ever done any productive 'work', where your pay and expenses doesn't just come from 'hard working taxpayers'.

@RealismHelps@stuey_beef A permanent ad. especially for a basic job is a bad idea, it looks like a fake to regular searchers.
A bit was just on the BBC, I'll see if I can pause & rewind, in a min. or 5...
@THemingford The biggest problem is economically illiterate politicians, and people.
Many, almost all, think money comes from taxes, or cuts to PIP, or even collecting money for charities.๐คช
@stuey_beef No, it's impossible to be in a house and not 'work', even if it's just housework.
What is 'work' & why must it be performed.
The biggest workless households are the house of commons and the house of lords.
@FinancialPhys At the other end, it's difficult to stay focused.
Estimate, in my presumed line of work, ghost jobs and outright scams account for 80% of job calls. The remainder have 300+ applicants. Finally land an interview? Some lady wants to know what color crayon I'd like to be. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@RealCarlVernon@beverleyturner "Do you remember when the media said smokers were less likely to suffer?
They make it up as they go along."
Yes, to both.
Smokers were and are underrepresented in the hospitalisations.

@Helen_Whately "doubling the average length of time between PIP reassessments.
That means theyโll review fewer claims, less often โ and waste more of your money."
How do you know that won't save money?
