Today is Parent Appreciation Day in @Allen_ISD. We are so grateful for all our parents and guardians who have stepped up in a big way to assist their children with at-home learning this semester. From AISD and the Board of Trustees - we appreciate our #AllenISDParents.
Our third graders worked hard to produce products for their economics store! This past Thursday and Friday, they dove into action selling their products and escorting lower grade shoppers. They did so well!
Our students had a budget of $30 to buy all of the necessary components to build a gingerbread house. They had to plan, budget, add decimals, purchase, and then construct without going over their budget! #makelearningfun#financialliteracy
“Explain the divisibility rule. Provide an example of both even and odd.” Writing across all subjects helps strengthen understanding. We love to incorporate writing into our math classes!
Using our knowledge of fact families in a fun way! The “referee” is telling the product of the two numbers, and then the students have to figure out what number is on their forehead by looking at the other player’s card. This is a great way to practice division, too!
Excited to start reading/science buddies with second grade this year! We had our first opportunity to work with our second grade buddies this past week.
