Look how compact City are and compare that to the state Madueke found in the 2nd half. Game was more open in the 2nd half because of 2 reasons: Guiu freed Nkunku and also because City were 4 up and it didn't matter anymore.
The situation improved on both occasions when Chuk got hooked against Celtic so we could press better and also Guiu introduction against City allowed us to press better and also play on the break which is why the only Madueke highlights happen on the break against City.
Mudryk has started the 2 tough games Chelsea have played in preseason, Celtic and City. And in both those games Chelsea couldn't build from the back especially in the 1st half. We played long ball against Celtic and we were too overloaded in midfield against City.
man clipped all his bad touches but what's funny it even in some of those clips he clipped out the parts he regained possession and made something happen. Also Mudryk didn't walk off after that knock but somehow this comp ends there 💀💀
Enzo Maresca on Malo Gusto playing at left-back:
"The reason why is because I need to see things. Kiernan was in the position he used to play as a left attacking midfield player. At the moment, there are things I need to see."

Nah I think it works, Maresca just wanted to give Enzo and Caicedo another warm up plus work on some experiments. The whole Gusto-KDH experiment in 1st half was interesting tbf. If it weren't for the individual errors we could've easily grown into the game (albeit rather slowly)
