Japan's foreign population has nearly doubled in the last 25 years, but crime by foreigners is down 40%.
"On social media, xenophobic posts claiming that public safety worsens as the foreign population increases have been growing, and calm, data-based discussion is needed."
@OmegaRaiijin@LoyalistPa@Arin_Yumi Still at a much lower rate compared to native Japanese committing crimes but yes, scapegoat the population whom the system and people like you treat as modern day slaves through a deplorable immigration status 🤓

I tried to further ask him where it’s written or wrote this rule, and he could only come up with 上の人. He tried shifting the topic to how I must’ve lived here long enough to speak Japanese so good and how I didn’t look “Indian” enough; but oh well
Not like I’d ever wanna go to one of those sleazy 歌舞伎町 maid-cafe/soapland places which objectify tf out of women, but this time, it didn’t turn out to be that experience where my solicitor is embarrassed after I scream, “I’M GAY!”
When I couldn’t wait any longer, I whip out my 在留カード to show him I’m Indian; his paled out face was worth looking at. When I raised my voice saying that’s just simply racism since every country has a different culture, he obviously didn’t have an answer.
