@nntaleb The fact that Lex's twitter isn't filled with childish name calling doesn't make him inauthentic. Nor does the fact that he published a reading list of many books he has read before and that you assumed his context and therefore attacked him.
@saifedean But how do you really feel? Seriously though nice to that king of all self-obsessed pudge-balls Nassim Taleb in the lineup. I didn't know that Pinker was flipping out though.
@nntaleb False! Warned about the current consequences of the lockdowns from Day 1. That you didn't see them suggests poor reasoning on your part. The data we had was: the nature of respiratory illnesses/transmission, economics, psychology, prior (properly constructed) lockdowns, etc.
@wclemente All the cliche stuff is actually true in this case. We've all been there and it sucks. Just takes time. You'll look back on this in 10 yrs with a smile, although that is impossible to believe right now. For now just keep focusing on your own life and soon you'll meet someone new.
@apoplectic2020@thesamparr@coffeelance Probably they could, but it's an issue of bandwidth and time as well. Now that I'm over 40 I'm astounded how difficult it is to keep weight off, even with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Partly genetic, etc, and not an excuse, but certainly a truth to be dealt with.
@nntaleb You seem to have the problem in reading comprehension as @paulg did not mention your name. If your ego can allow the thought, there were actually other people criticizing the list as well.
