Our veterans wrote a blank check to this country, up to and including their lives. The least America can do is keep its promise to them.
Instead, too many veterans are stuck waiting for care while politicians put themselves first. Men and women who served this country should never have to fight their own government for the benefits they earned.
Right here in Boston, Mayor Michelle Wu gave herself a raise while cutting benefits for veterans. That’s not leadership. That’s disgraceful.
As we head into Memorial Day, remember this: veterans kept their word to America. It’s time politicians start keeping theirs.
