#TEACHers: Are you preparing for the next academic year & focusing on what you will teach? Have you considered your own personal development? Here is an idea: it's a learning journal with reflective tasks and ideas for conquering the challenges teachers often face. @routlidge
@RogersHistory These rules could make teaching some subjects a challenge! I always had the desire to run a teacher training day exactly like a school day for pupils (timetable, subjects, breaks, rules and all). A training day run like this would make for interesting watching.
Came across this from @CAMHSPro resources and reflected on the four learner engagement needs Power/Belonging/Choice and Fun and how meeting these needs fills the cup and ignoring them quickly empties it. More about PBCF & #teaching : https://t.co/JoUTuamran
Have you heard of Learning Intelligence or LQ? Adopting an LQ approach as a #teacher is just as important as recognising the impact on you as a #learner. More can be found about LQ at https://t.co/46ICGKbLjy
You are a #teacher because you understand #belonging, promote #creativity, guide #choices and engage in #fun. Your superpower is your subject because that is your passion. https://t.co/QIE4c2BgBV

Perhaps not the highest rankings on Amazon but something I am proud of. The idea that 40 years of experience can be available to new #teachers is a very rewarding feeling. #education#ect

In a school/pupil context, it is also about agency & not having the tools or being able to achieve an emotional state or perhaps the confidence that allows for dealing with conflicting views & emotions in a way that leads to understanding. Causing chaos prevents facing truths.

@Strickomaster Absolutely Sam. Chasing being liked is the wrong way to build learning relationships with your pupils. I think those who do are possibly looking for the easy way - there is no easy way, it takes hard work and consistency.
@Strickomaster Teachers have to have a positive learning relationship with their pupils. Although there are fundamental foundations successful teachers go about and achieve it in their own way.
