INTRODUCING OPERATION ICE STORM

Icelandic whaling boss Kristján Loftsson intends to kill at least 140 Fin whales this summer, defying the global moratorium on whaling established in 1986 by the International Whaling Commission (IWC). Iceland, along with Norway and Japan, persists in disregarding international conservation law.

Kristján Loftsson is confident that he will continue killing whales, and that no one can stop him. We are confident that we can prevent him from getting what he wants.

Neptune’s Pirates will be ready to directly confront Hvalur hf’s whaling ships on OPERATION ICE STORM. The CPWF flagship, the M/Y John Paul DeJoria, will set sail to the waters off Iceland this summer, and will be manned by brave and committed volunteers prepared to risk their lives and liberty to safeguard the existence of Fin whales. Together with @cpwf_uk , we will put an end to whaling in Iceland.

Despite facing opposition from the majority of Icelanders, Loftsson persists in his bloodthirsty pursuit with his company, Hvalur hf, Iceland’s sole whaling company.

Commercial whaling was outlawed in 1986 when the International Whaling Commission (IWC) declared a global moratorium. Fin whales are universally protected under international conservation law.

However, Kristjan Loftsson, CEO of Iceland’s last whaling operation, Hvalur hf, intends to harpoon fin whales this summer.

BREAKING: Donald Trump freaks out on his own attorneys after they botch the proceedings in his hush money trial — getting off to the rockiest start imaginable.

This is a hilarious way for things to begin...

The embarrassing outburst occurred right after Trump and his attorneys returned from lunch recess. The MAGA team were arguing over their own collective failure to produce documents under New York discovery laws.

"Justice Merchan tells Trump’s attorneys they have 24 hours to do so, or such evidence will be precluded from use," reported Stewart Bishop of Law360. "Trump counsel Todd Blanche complains, says that’s not enough time, what with jury selection and all."

It was at this point that Trump lost his cool.

"This is where it gets interesting," reported Katy Tur of MSNBC. "Donald Trump is now personally getting involved here. He's pushing Todd Blanche — his lawyer — to fight harder about these documents and this compliance saying that they need more time."

"What do you make of Donald Trump getting into this, Catherine?" Tur asked Catherine A. Christian, a veteran of the Manhattan District Attorney's office. "Getting up and telling his or getting into his lawyer's face and telling him that he needs to fight, to fight harder?"

"It's going to be a long trial for Mr. Blanche because he is out of control," said Christian. "He is one of those clients that you hope to not have because if he's acting this way now, he's going to do it throughout the trial."

"In terms of reciprocal discovery, prosecutors really have more of the burden in New York," she added. "The defense is supposed to also turn things over, but the consequence for them not doing it are not as severe as for prosecutors. So, this will not be a major issue."

If this is how the trial is starting, just imagine how it's going to end...

In September 2023, Icelandic whaling company Hvalur hf was granted permission to commence whaling operations after a temporary suspension. However two courageous activists took action: In the early hours of the morning, Elissa Phillips and Anahita Babaei scaled the masts of the harpoon ships and occupied the crow’s nests, successfully delaying the planned departure and ultimately saving lives of endangered fin whales.

Fish are indispensable to the balance of marine ecosystems, supporting populations of other fish species, sea birds, and marine mammals. By making informed choices about what we consume, we can directly challenge the damaging practices of the commercial fishing industry.

The sad reality is that a significant percentage of the fish caught by commercial fishing are not even destined for human consumption, but instead, serve as feed for livestock – another industry with its own host of environmental issues.
