One of my favorite Avatar theories is that despite chasing the gang across the world Zuko never learned anyones name.

Its why he says “Hello Zuko here” he was hoping they’d introduce themselves to him. Honestly it kinda makes sense too up until this point hes never had any real conversation with any of them.

He only ever refers to Aang as the Avatar when he burns Tophs feet by accident later in the ep he even says “hey you come back”. He didnt know what to call her.

The only person he may have known was Katara cause their shared moment at Ba Sing Se. This theories really heartwarming too when you think on it.

He went from not knowing them to telling them jokes about Uncle Iroh. He felt comfortable and immediately started talking about his favorite person.
