@_MissieBee Each stage is better than the last… in different ways! Enjoy them all.
Teach them independence (even though it takes longer than doing things for them), let go of the reigns slowly but surely and you will end up with beautiful individuals who are perfectly imperfect. 💕
Predicted GCSE Maths Papers are up! Free of course, with video tutorials on QR codes as always. Hopefully they’re helpful for your Year 11 students 😊 https://t.co/KOQeYN3w7E

@GoldenGraduate@RogersHistory I was in supply and was physically lifted up by a student so that they could leave the room. I had called for help earlier and nobody came. Double lesson.
@dnleslie Yes, would be so good to get away from the corporate bullshit imposed on us and allow each lesson to be individual.
This is how it was done when I first started teaching. Had a career break while my children were small and when I came back the landscape had changed completely,
@RogersHistory I’ve seen behaviour escalate most amongst those children whose parents defend them over “small” behaviour issues. Once those students know that their parents will excuse and defend their infractions these soon escalate into bigger ones and behaviour goes off the rails.
Does Rishi Sunak realise that every time he talks about rising wages and bringing down inflation, he alienates every single public sector worker whose wages he has used as an inflationary tool!
Our wages have not increased.

Poor school attendance is the biggest problem facing Britain today, in terms of its long-run impact. It's good that everyone's talking about it this morning, but I'm not convinced we've got the right solutions.
(A bit of a 🧵)
@zackferguson Drs should be paid an amount that reflects work they put in to become a doctor. They worked hard at school to get top GCSEs, they worked hard at college to get top A levels, they worked uni and now they work hard for their patients. Pay them what they are worth!
Breaking: The government has only managed to recruit just half of the number of secondary teacher trainees it forecast was needed this year, @educationgovuk data out this morning reveals

@MillieKarma@wright_maths They are the problem! Kids not meeting basic expectations in school because they know their parents will back them and not the teacher.
When I give up teaching it will be the parents who pushed me out.
Parents supporting poor behaviour in their children produces students who believe it is their right to disrupt the learning of others and get away with it.
