i’ll be honest the world needs to hold liverpool more accountable, wirtz, barcola, isak. 100m+ each, nowhere near the level of impact of a 100M player. but when it was rice, caicedo etc. they were micro analysed by liverpool fans 24/7. need to check their own mirrors
You don’t realize enough how contagious humans are... relentlessly remove the negative. Roger Federer changed his dentist because he was too negative. Cut them out.
I don't get it, man. If AI is the future we’re being pushed towards, what happens if it replaces jobs faster than we can create meaningful work? Businesses can reduce their dependence on workers, cool. But how do they reduce their dependence on paying customers??? Because there will be less of those.
If these supervillains can produce more wealth with less human labour, at what point do we rethink a society where people must earn a living, but have fewer ways to do so?
Young people also face the prospect of automation taking both the entry-level jobs that give them a start and the professional careers we BEEN telling them to study for. What advice do we give them when “get an education” and “work your way up” become increasingly uncertain routes to security?
What the fuck happens when millions are too expensive to employ and too poor to participate? How long can a society demand that folks earn their place while eliminating every way to do it????
The most selfless big name manager that there has ever been. All he cared about was improving the long-term future of the club even at the cost of his own personal success in the present.
🚨🔵Zinedine Zidane on Eden Hazard’s career:
“Sometimes I feel a sense of guilt that I may have had a negative impact on Hazard’s career, even though the injuries were things I could never control. Maybe if he had never changed his environment, things would have been different. But that’s easy to say looking back.”
“When Hazard was at Chelsea, I genuinely wanted to sit down and watch Premier League games because of him.”
“He was one of those players who could make you stop whatever you were doing just to watch him. He was special, one of a kind, and that’s why the way his career ended will always feel painful.”
Chelsea gained a £47.5m advantage over a 7 year time frame, still complied with PSR rules, self reported, and were still given a £10m fine (PL) + £8.6m fine (UEFA) + a 2 year suspended transfer ban.
City gained a £900m advantage over 9 years whilst not doing any of the above.
