Fall is almost here and there’s nothing better than curling up with a good book while watching the leaves fall.
Here are our September reads to get you warmed up (or cooled down) for fall.

Happy Black History Month! What’s Black History without Black literature?
You do not have to solely read theory to be radical or honor our ancestors. Our stories are told through different lenses.
Have you read any of these? Comment below.
Today we celebrate the birthday of Zora Neale Hurston. Author, filmmaker, and anthropologist. Zora kept Blackness, Black folklore, and Black spirituality, primarily Hoodoo, in her writing.
Zora did not receive her flowers until after her death. A few of her works are in the Smithsonian Archives and have been published posthumously.
We wish people cherished her while she was alive but we will always cherish her in spirit.
Habari Gani?
Let’s talk about a holiday made FUBU. It’s Kwanzaa time! If you don’t know, now ya know…you know the rest.
First up is Umoja, which means unity. We need unity in our fight for liberation.
Do you celebrate?
