“Classic Pivot Points Case Study – Real Example Breakdown”
I walked through a clean, textbook swing on $CL_F — exactly how I approach analyzing using Classic Pivot Points and why I find trading them is easier than any other trading strategy.
This is the exact process I use every day.

“Not only did Nasdaq gut its “seasoning” requirement to allow SpaceX into its index only 15 days after its IPO, it also changed how it adjusts its weighting in the Nasdaq 100 index for “low-float” stocks.”
“SpaceX will be a very low-float stock, with only 5% of its shares available for sale, yet Nasdaq will weight the stock as if the float were 25% of total SpaceX shares.”
“Once the 180-day lock up period for insiders ends, and the SpaceX float exceeds 20%, Nasdaq will weight the stock based on 100% of the shares outstanding.” 🏼

All the child-less people I have met that don’t want kids all say the same BS about not “never seeing a happy parent at the airport”. I’ve probably heard that a hundred times and I tell them, you’re going to base the entirety of being a parent on what you have witnessed at an airport? That is unjustified.
Weekly Swing Analysis Update $ES_F Wed Night
Bears gained some traction today during the first 30 minutes of the NY session and then after the cash hours close. This will open up some different scenarios, lets cover them.
Since bears showed up once today we'll start there:
Bears: After churning the top of the market for 3 days, an minor extension has commenced. The Weekly M3 was right in the middle that range and price slipped down to the Weekly S1 Pivot at 7530
For bears to remain in control another break down should occur, this time 7530. Bears could step back in higher at 7550 or 7571, the Weekly M3 and Central Pivots, respectively.
Bearish weekly targets still remain the same at 7498 and 7465.
Bulls: Not in any trouble at all until much lower and can reload longs at any point. 7530 is the Weekly Support 1 (WS1) Pivot point and a rally could get underway from there.
The extension target for the WS1 is the Weekly R1 pivot at 7636. That would take out the relatively equal highs and protect any downside risk going into NFP or this weekend. Bulls can also jump back in above 7550 or 7571 and work back into the upper range.

Midday Update $ES_F
Orderly selling after the initial elevator down.
Bears hit the target extension from overnight pivot point of origin. Which was 7628 to the target 7572.
The bonus of 7555 is still on the table but bulls can start to recover hear and counter trade todays move to 7610 and back to 7628 for the round trip.
Price is back inside the IB as I type this, so unless 7574 and 7572.50 fail to hold, the market can float right back up.
EOD update later. Let's see what happens.
No real EOD update. $ES_F closed right on 7572.5, the Daily M1 Pivot and the target for the bulls extension.
That origin selling pivot was from the Globex open at 7628, the Daily M3. A classic Pivot Point intraday swing.
The NY Session looked a little dry as it was a orderly sell off after the initial Market open drop.
Bears could still push towards 7555 for the bonus before rollover. Cheers

Initial Balance update $ES_F
Some good volatility but it only lasted 15 minutes. Maybe a bear testing the waters.
The downside target of 7572 has yet to complete. Bulls dont want to see 7570s or risk further downside.
Choppy after the first move down, If bears don't reload and soon the market will just drift back up as volatility gets crushed.
Forgot to add picture and say if Bulls wanted to trample early bears then Daily S1 Pivot to Daily R1 Pivot is the move
DS1 7589 to DR1 7645 $ES_F
The market is probably waiting for Trump to say something stupid again.
