@claystorm @Make_It_Right In my state, it’s ultimately the home owner’s responsibility, as they will be fined if found in violation. A good contract/contractor will have all the permit/process/inspection details included, and likely tied to pay-out phase gates.

@Make_It_Right Shoddy inspection; it was a check-list, no comments... the nightmares turned into discovering my true love...a good inspector..oops...I mean, learning the proper fix, and doing it myself.

A. Give them employment agreements guaranteeing their employment through 2019 (or paying them six months of severance if they are terminated without cause). Also, give them a bonus

@Make_It_Right @nationalpost My home inspector gave me a checklist... the absence of detail was shameful; my ignorance of what to expect was equally shameful. In the 10 years living in this house I have vowed to fix it right... 3 years into major gut/renovation, doing it on my own; big time learning curve!♥️
