@DaveK72 Part of me kinda wants to see it pass just as it’s drafted just for the spectacle of it all. Purpose is, ostensibly, to clear up some issues around cross-employment and ownership. There’s good stuff in there! There’s also some garbage language that is clearly not from K&G.

@DaveK72 I.e. Big Grove Solon could not buy beer made by Big Grove Iowa City. It would also inadvertently prevent taprooms from selling beer manufactured by their own breweries (though i suppose you could sell beer from everyone else).

@DaveK72 It’s got some good stuff in it re: ownership interests, but the way it’s written would cap all distributors in the state at 10k bbls (the intent was to cap self-bistro but the way it’s written it caps everyone). It would also stop satellite brewpubs from buying their own beer

Spoke to the Iowa Brewer Guild in Iowa City Friday night, on emerging trends within the Iowa Market place. Over 100 people from all over Iowa turn out. These folks know how to make Beer! Iowa beer lovers who have great Iowa beers to enjoy responsibly.
