The Greenland agreement is nothing what Trump said. It’s NOT a US Territory. The US has ZERO control over anything other than Puttufik space base. Which they do now. It’s not “in perpetuity��. Trump doesn’t seem to know what he signed.

The two “new” bases? We HAD those bases for decades. The US Army SOF mountain warfare center has been training at Mestirvej for years. This will give them a more permanent foot print for annual training but not likely they’ll add anything more than a bigger airstrip & a logistic hub to leave their Skidoos. This has nothing to do with finding or supporting oil. That was quashed. So in the end the Danish SOF Sirius patrol now get better logistics site at US expense.

The US started using Narsarsuaq in 1941. This deal got Trump to commit to cleaning up decades of abandoned debris & environmental damage and extend the runway which will better support international tourism at Qatotuq … at US expense.

Also nothing changed. The US does not own or have permanent security control of Greenland. The 3 security zones? They are to be run by NATOs Danish led Arctic Command. They are the ones who are getting these new toys to support the NATO mission.

Finally, what kind of dope has to write that Russian and Chinese troops can’t be based in NATO owned Greenland.? The only way they would is if they invaded. I guess Trump also got Denmarks commitment to not allow Iranian/North Korean troops to be based in Nebraska. Same same.
