We have one of the worst medical teams in the league, and after seeing Doncic get traded due to unavailability, I wouldn’t be shocked if Embiid gets traded for pieces and picks to focus on Maxey, who’s been our most consistent and available draft pick despite the whole Process era. If Embiid goes to a team with a better medical staff, he could have a big season like Shaq did in Miami.

Morey will probably delay Embiid’s rumoured knee surgery so he can trade him for a defensive center. He could send him to Miami for Bam + another player cause of financials, or sign Myles Turner, the best defensive big available.

If Morey signs Turner, he might use Embiid, PG, or both, plus some picks, in a trade to get our 2025 first-round pick back from OKC. If we win the lottery, we’d pick Flagg and re-sign Yabu.

That gives us a starting five of:

•McCain
•Flagg
•Yabu
•Bam/Turner

Is it crazy? Absolutely. Is it ideal? Not really. Will Morey do it? He’s crazy enough. Are we cooked either way? Yes.
