It's been 2 years since El Salvador passed the Bitcoin Law and we've come a long way in that short time

It has been a real honor to be a small part of the great transformation made possible by President Bukele's very bold policy of economic liberty.

Since we established the @bitcoinofficesv in January, we have secured many big wins for El Salvador:

➡️ We have onboarded some of the most respected names in bitcoin to the country, including @BFXSecurities and @Strike. And, by the end of this year, several other big names in bitcoin will have announced their move to El Salvador. Our first mover advantage is real and growing.
➡️ We secured a $1 billion investment from @tether and other investors into bitcoin mining and geothermal energy infrastructure with @Volcano_Energy. This is one of the largest ever foreign direct investments into El Salvador, all thanks to the Bitcoin Law. 🌋
➡️ We helped pass the Digital Assets Law and the accompanying regulations which will allow companies and entrepreneurs to start building new capital markets on bitcoin. In so doing, we have provided regulatory clarity to bitcoin companies seeking certainty before deploying capital. El Salvador is on track to be the Silicon Valley of Bitcoin. We are in talks with several big funds who have plans to establish a presence in the country in 2024 because of the policies and reforms introduced by President Bukele.
➡️ We landed Austrian economist and author of the Bitcoin Standard @saifedean as economic advisor to the Bitcoin Office.
➡️ We've built one of the very best elite bitcoin and Lightning devs program in the world: @cuboplus. The 21 brightest students in El Salvador were trained by some of the top names in bitcoin, including @saifedean @peterktodd @jimmysong & @niftynei. A few of these students will now travel to Italy and Switzerland for further training but all of the students have landed internships paying them up to 50% more than typical starting salaries for computer science graduates in El Salvador. And we have already started on the program for the Class of 2024, so we are not resting on our laurels. We will continue to build the next generation of builders on bitcoin. And so there will be ever more Salvadoran engineering talent to help build the future we all want to see.
➡️ We partnered with @MyfirstBitcoin_ and @bitcoinbeach to introduce the world's first bitcoin education program into all public schools across the country.
