Just another thought, another IDEA, something could be cooking up, a trade should have been finalized days ago. There is definitely more pieces on the move. Thoughts? 💭
Following the John Collins sign-and-trade being made official, the LA Clippers could now choose to expand the Kawhi Leonard trade in order to acquire Peyton Watson OR Cameron Johnson, per @YossiGozlan.
“If they acquire Dick into the Collins trade exception, then they could trade Leonard for Ingram’s $40 million and still take back an additional $23.1 million.”

You’re comparing individual players. I’m comparing lineup fit. This lineup data already shows the offensive ceiling with Jak, and notice something else… there isn’t a single lineup here underlined with Scottie + RJ + CMB together. 🤣 That’s literally the trio I’m trying to maximize. A stretch 5 unlocks that lineup. That’s the entire point. You just proved my point.
Holy hell, you guys keep arguing the wrong point. I don’t care if Jak is the better individual player. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about who makes THIS roster better. Basketball isn’t 1-on-1, it’s 5-on-5. Fit matters. A stretch 5 unlocks Scottie, RJ, Kawhi and CMB. That’s the entire argument.

• 2 second-round picks
Clippers receive:
• Jakob Poeltl

The longer this takes, the more I wonder if there are other moving pieces involved. Just a mock, but every team addresses a need and Toronto gets a roster that fits Kawhi much better. Thoughts? 🤔
@RaptorEnjoyer13@Kawhifor3 That’s beyond comprehension to me. With an inside big, you cannot have RJ, CMB + inside big on the floor. That alone should draw you away from the idea of anyone but an inside big. Our best lineup, is dysfunctional without a stretch 5.
I’m not going to keep repeating myself. CMB playing 30 minutes a night at the 5 is not what’s best for this team. He’s at his best as a versatile 4 who can slide to the 5 in closing lineups or favorable matchups. A stretch 5 lets him develop naturally instead of banging with starting centers every night. That’s the entire point. A stretch 5 unlocks the whole team. Wanting to upgrade at guard makes zero sense.
