It isn't close lol
@HowlDistrict@midrangejumpr2@SportsWithJay0 The Thompson twins may be the most athletic wings in league history period lol
No it isn't quite the reach
Amen jumps almost 10 inches higher, is about a quarter second faster in the sprint and is over a second faster in the lane drill
@josh30315235 I think KG but I'm not mad at anyone saying wade or Barkley either even pippen although I don't think he had a good enough career to be named with the other guys since he was jordans sidekick for so long
@jazztown@MovinBetr@getnickwright 3. Of course lol especially defensively just straight stock numbers are definitely not enough to showcase how good or bad someone is defensively just look at AI winning steals titles or jokic being like top 5 in every advanced defensive metric ever
@jazztown@MovinBetr@getnickwright footage from six Bulls home games during the season showed that box scores credited Jordan with 28 steals, while the footage of the game could only verify 12
Bob Rosenberg was also prone to home cooking his box scores
@jazztown@MovinBetr@getnickwright 2. At home he averaged roughly 4 steals and 2.1 blocks per game, compared to 2.1 steals and 1.2 blocks on the road. Per 36, his combined stocks jumped from about 3 on the road to 5.5 at home almost doubling which is easily the biggest discrepancy ever and it went away once he won
@jazztown@MovinBetr@getnickwright 1. Peak depends on who you talk to and what about but is usually 1 or 3 years may up to 5 after that it is a prime discussion not a peak one
2. Accolades are other people's view of the season but are influenced by popularity bias and comp especially when they weren't positionless
@Yumeboshi0@MovinBetr LeBron also was more switchable being able to gaurd 1-4 + some 5s, he was a much better rim protector than Jordan and could hold his own in the post a lot easier since he was substantially heavier and taller than Jordan but still agile enough to guard amazing on the perimeter
@jazztown@MovinBetr@getnickwright 1. The question was about peak not longevity so total number of defensive accolades plus all accolades do is say what others think
2. There is genuine evidence suggesting that MJ has inflated defensive numbers+pace differences
3. You have to look at actual abilities not raw stats
@joseph_heneghan@4k_chhris@javed273110 Why have 2 bigs that both due more or less the same types of things would you not prefer the spacing, switch ability, and massive playmaking gap of bird rather than duncan since you already have an amazing paint protector in hakeem
