solidarity with all the phd students who are home for christmas and getting asked for more details about what their thesis is about from people who seem to then regret asking
I decided to do grad school because I wanted to get a few more years of hearing “what are you going to do when you graduate” from my relatives during the holiday season, actually
1. Find a paper that does the experiment I wanna do.
2. Check the methods.
3. 'We did (method) as previously described in (insert paper)'
4. Find mentioned paper and realize it doesn't describe it at all.
5. Give up and scream.
