I strongly believe in the power of love, and I believe that no one, regardless of religion or race, should experience such things. Neither what happened to the Jews of Marculesti, nor what happened to the Romanian families, forced to leave their land because of the war.

This article discusses our film, "77 Years Back", in relation to the historical context of the village of Marculesti, where my grandfather was born and from where he was forced to flee in 1943.

We learned how, in the same village, a few years earlier, a great tragedy occurred for the local population, predominantly Jewish (about which I recommend another film, made in the same places: "Absent" by Matthew Mishory - https://t.co/rhGqQnXbd3).

We had the great pleasure to meet Ivan, a journalist and writer who will release an editorial about our movie soon.

We are humbled by the amazing welcome our movie had in Trieste Film Festival yesterday.
People took their time to come and watch this movie and we really loved to see that the idea of this film resonates with people in Italy.

What is the most beautiful is that in the audience were also Romanians that have been living abroad for many years, and to which the movie made a striking impact because they remembered their roots and motivates them to keep listening to their elders.
