نطالب بالإفراج الفوري عن الصحفي معمر إبراهيم

تُعبّر منصة «Sudan War Updates» عن قلقها البالغ إزاء استمرار اختطاف الصحفي السوداني المستقل «معمر إبراهيم» لليوم الرابع والثلاثين على التوالي، منذ اختطافه بواسطة مليشيا الدعم السريع أثناء محاولته النزوح من مدينة الفاشر بولاية شمال دارفور في 26 أكتوبر الماضي، وقد نُقل قسرًا إلى مدينة نيالا حيث ما يزال رهن الاختطاف حتى هذه اللحظة.

معمر إبراهيم ليس مجرد صحفي في الميدان، بل كان أحد الأصوات المهنية النزيهة التي واصلت العمل رغم القصف، ونقص الغذاء، والحصار الطويل الذي عاشته مدينة الفاشر. وبشجاعة لافتة، نقل معاناة المدنيين وواقع المدينة للعالم، متعاونًا مع قناة إقليمية وعدد من المؤسسات الإعلامية الدولية، ومقدمًا تغطية عززت حق الجمهور في المعرفة عن ما يدور في المدينة المحاصرة خلال أصعب مراحل الحرب.

اختار معمر البقاء وسط مجتمعه، ثابتًا على رسالته الصحفية، منقلًا صورة ما يجري بلا تزييف أو انحياز، ودافعًا ثمنًا باهظًا في ظل استهداف الصحفيين والتضييق عليهم، عرفه زملاؤه وقرّاؤه بصدقه واستقامته وإنسانيته؛ إنسانًا قبل أن يكون صحفيًا، وصوتًا لم يساوم يومًا على الحقيقة.

إن استمرار اختطاف «معمر إبراهيم» يمثّل اعتداءً صارخًا على حرية الصحافة، وانتهاكًا لحقوق الإنسان الأساسية. كما أن التصريحات التي صدرت سابقًا عن ممثلي مليشيا الدعم السريع، واتهامهم له بالتحريض، تُعد محاولة لتجريم العمل الصحفي المهني وتجريد معمر من رسالته التي عرف بها طوال سنوات.

إننا في منصة «Sudan War Updates» ندعو إلى:

- الإفراج الفوري وغير المشروط عن الصحفي معمر إبراهيم.
- تمكينه من التواصل مع أسرته وضمان سلامته الجسدية والنفسية.
- احترام حرية العمل الصحفي وعدم استخدام الاحتجاز كأداة لإسكات الأصوات المستقلة.

إن احتجاز وخطف صحفي أعزل لأكثر من شهر، وغياب الشفافية بشأن وضعه، يثير تساؤلات مصيرية حول مصير الحريات الأساسية التي تدّعيها مليشيا الدعم السريع في بياناتها وعن ادعاءها في جلب الديمقراطية، ستواصل منصتنا المطالبة بحقه في الحرية إلى حين إطلاق سراحه، إيمانًا بأن الحقيقة لا يمكن احتجازها، وأن الأصوات الحرة ستظل باقية مهما طال القيد.

Food Distribution Update – Al-Qutaynah

Our field team successfully distributed 75 food parcels to 75 families in Al-Qutaynah, providing essential support to displaced and vulnerable families in the area.

We thank our dedicated volunteers and all those who continue to stand with Sudan’s displaced communities. Together, we bring hope and dignity to families in need.

Hope and Haven for Refugees in collaboration with Darfur Victims Support Organization (DVSO)

🔴 As displacement from El Fasher continues, Hope and Haven for Refugees, in partnership with Darfur Victims Support Organization, carried out the distribution of food baskets in Kurma Administrative Unit – Selk IDP Camp.

The initiative targeted 300 families (around 1,600 people) who recently fled areas of conflict — most of them women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities — who arrived between 26 and 31 October 2025 after a long and exhausting journey of displacement.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) attended the distribution and expressed appreciation to both organizations for their continued emergency response, while UN agencies welcomed the new arrivals from El Fasher and surrounding camps, calling on all national and international organizations to provide urgent food, medical, and shelter assistance to save lives and ease the suffering of affected families.

The Sheikh of Selk Camp thanked both organizations for their consistent support to the displaced community, while representatives of youth and women expressed their deep gratitude for the timely aid, emphasizing the urgent need for medicines and shelter materials.

At the close of the event, Hope and Haven for Refugees and Darfur Victims Support Organization reaffirmed their commitment to continue humanitarian action despite the challenges, and appealed to partners and donors to step up their support for displaced families in Darfur.
