با رأی اعضای کمیسیون امنیت ملی و سیاست خارجی مجلس، ابراهیم عزیزی به‌عنوان رئیس کمیسیون انتخاب شد.

سید محمود نبویان که پیش‌تر در دو سال ابتدایی دوره دوازدهم مجلس، نائب‌رئیس اول کمیسیون امنیت ملی بود و ابراهیم رضایی که در همین بازه زمانی سخنگوی کمیسیون بود، پس از انتقاد به توافق‌نامه و فرایند آتش‌بس، از هیئت‌رئیسه کمیسیون امنیت ملی حذف شدند.

عباس مقتدایی نماینده اصفهان و از حامیان دوآتشه عراقچی به عنوان نایب رئیس اول و حسن قشقاوی از دیپلماتهای حامی برجام به عنوان سخنگوی این کمیسیون انتخاب شدند.

بهنام سعیدی از نمایندگان نزدیک به قالیباف و یعقوب رضازاده نماینده سلماس که اخیرا در مناظره‌ای با ثابتی از توافق با امریکا حمایت کرده بود نیز به عنوان دبیران اول و دوم این کمیسیون انتخاب شدند.

گفتنی است اکثریت مجلس دوازدهم که از حامیان ریاست قالیباف بر مجلس نیز می‌باشند، از حامیان توافق ترامپ - پزشکیان به حساب می‌آیند.
