FIRST TRACK for Tropical Depression Two calls for it to become Tropical Storm #Bertha this week. I wouldn’t rule out a hurricane. Landfall could be anywhere from the Florida Panhandle to central Texas. A tropical storm watch is in effect from the Florida Big Bend to the FL/AL border — but will need to be expanded west. Impacts including heavy rain, gusty winds, coastal flooding, and tornadoes will begin in the Panhandle today and spread west this week — Louisiana by Tuesday into Wednesday and then perhaps Texas by Thursday into Friday. This storm will be unusual since the worst impacts will be south and west of the center. Residents in the path of this storm should begin making storm preparations now. #tropicalupdate #td2 🌀
