BREAKING (bones)
Why does "Bring Them Home" exist only for some hostages?
Because in Apartheid Israel, where only Jewish lives matter, brutalising the Palestinians isn't an anomaly - it is the system. And the silence around it is the exact measure of our collective hypocrisy.
🚨 BREAKING:
Israeli group seeks to set a world record for kidney donations, but human rights reports and forensic findings EXPOSED that organs including hearts, lungs, kidneys, and corneas were removed from Palestinian bodies returned from Israeli custody.
This is demonic.
Israeli soldiers are reportedly torturing Dr Abu Safya --a pediatrician, for God's sake!
Without strong pressure on Israel, these may could be his last hours.

Israeli forces have killed over 20,000 children & injured 44,000 more since 7 Oct. 2023, Srinivasan Muralidhar, chair of the @UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory & Israel, told reporters today. #HRC62

The Independent Int'l Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory presents new report to the UN Human Rights Council.
"The evidence shows that Palestinian children have been deliberately targeted & killed by the Israeli security forces."

This report is haunting even for someone who has documented the most horrific aspects of this genocide - which too many world leaders pretend not to see.
I commend the Commission of Inquiry for its effort to bring about accountability and make the truth accessible.
Jonathan Glazer, using his win for "The Zone of Interest" to shine light on what's going on in Gaza right. And THAT is the very point of his film. A powerful moment.

THE ZONE OF INTEREST director Jonathan Glazer uses his acceptance speech to address the situation in Gaza in a way most this season have assiduously avoided.

"Hamas is not going to be eradicated no matter what Israel does in Gaza. Even if Israel defeats Hamas's entire military network, even if it kills every Hamas fighter, Hamas continues as a political movement, Hamas continues to have support, not a majority, but a certain amount of support.
The idea that b/c of what Hamas did on Oct. 7th, it is excluded from Palestinian governance, is an Israeli, European & American fantasy.
You do not negotiate with the people who have already agreed to your terms. You couldn't do that in Ireland, you had to bring the IRA in, you couldn't do that in South Africa, you had to bring the ANC in, you couldn't do that in Algeria, you had bring the FLN in. These groups that had carried out horrific attacks against civilians, they were described as terrorists or bandits, but the only people you really need to negotiate with are the people with the guns.
Until that fact gets through the thick skulls of people in Washington & London & Paris, we are not going anywhere." - Rashid Khalidi
Israel is no more capable of wiping out Hamas than the U.S. was capable of wiping out the Viet Cong.
Hamas arises from the people and the conditions they've been forced to endure for generations.
As long as those conditions persist, Hamas will persist.
