Possibly the most beautiful set of equations from physics. They also illustrate how "the science" is never settled (a message to armchair climate scientists). Maxwell went to his grave believing in the existence of the luminiferous ether through which light was thought to propagate. That concept came to be widely rejected. Also, the second equation above (aka Gauss's Law for magnetism) because of the zero right hand side, states the impossibility of magnetic monopoles. Yet, they may someday be discovered and we'll have symmetry of equations 1 and 2, with equation 2 being changed to a nonzero RHS...because science is never settled.
A 14 year old boy from Britain ran 100m in 10.3 sec in 2024. Also, FloJo's records are highly suspect due to massive drug use from that era. Drug use was so prevalent that women's records at 100, 200, 400 and 800 meters were all set in the 1980s, along with WRs in the long jump, shot put, discus and heptathlon. So, she was probably no faster than a 12-13 year old boy.
@CollinRugg Then let trans men play. It would be interesting to watch. But, the WNBA will never do it. They won't risk any job loss of their women. It is simple virtue-signaling.
Australian, North and South American indigenous people would not have any modern tools today without colonization. For example, none from these continents ever invented/discovered the wheel. Without tools, no Industrial Revolution and hence per capital GDP would be virtually unchanged for the past 2000 years.
Please accept my challenge. We post money to an escrow account. I'll deposit 10x your amount. I'll pay all expenses associated with the escrow such as attorney fees. Then, if I prove where I attended school, I'll give the money to a charity of your choice. If I can't you keep it as a gift. You have to accept than if you care about the needy.
@DawnPapandrea@NYCMayor The cheaper prices are not on the identical products. Your "halves and pieces" cashews just seem 30% cheaper than whole cashews at the adjacent grocery store.
@NYCMayor Since grocery stores (look at the public financials of companies like Kroger and Albertson's) only make about a 1% net margin, if you price products 30% lower, you'll need to confiscate (tax) a lot more money to keep your grocery stores open.
@More_Kat_Moore@tezkiddd@YouGov True...women are not risk takers, therefore we all can name great inventions and scientific discoveries made by men. Not so easy to do with women. The richest women in the world...all due to inheritance or divorce, not wealth creation of their own.
@EndWokeness The net profit margins for three grocery retailers. Pure grocery store net margins are no more than 1%. There is no room to drop prices 30%, so NY is about to lose a fortune and blame it on rich people.
