My story is different. I was told I’d need to fund 10% of my own development for IDC to assist
I’m trying to Develop a R700million Hydropower Plant, 11.26MW in South Africa, with a potential of providing electricity to 2117 households if used for housing, or can power industries
Fezile Dhlamini built Green Scooter from nothing. 70+ electric vehicles. McDonald's, PepsiCo, DHL. A factory. Exports to the UAE. African-designed. African-made.
He applied to the IDC for 8 years. They said no. Every time. The IDC gave R67 million to a white-owned company in the same space.
This is not someone else's story. This is our story. Every Black founder in this country knows exactly what this feels like.
We are not asking for handouts. We are asking why the money meant for us always finds a different address.

Most entrepreneurs in SA will tell you how they application for funding got rejected by government and next day their project is seen with someone 100% funded. Very painful experience to see your efforts being eaten by vultures.
PLEASE REPOST:
I built South Africa's first black-owned electric vehicle company.
I have deployed 70+ EVs with Blue Chip Companies, Local SMEs and exported to the UAE.
I have invested R9.5 million of my own money over 10 years.
The IDC has given me R0.
They gave a white-owned competitor R69.9 million.

"South African borders are porous because you, the politicians, have decided you want a Mickey Mouse defence force."
— Ntshavheni Maphaha, SANDF Lieutenant-General
Fund the South African National Defence Force. (SANDF).
Fund the SA Navy.
Fund the South African Police Service.
Defend SA sovereignty.
Are they asking too much?
BREAKING NEWS
Chief of the South African Navy, Vice Admiral Monde Lobese, Warns Unpatriotic Government Leaders and Sellouts Who Are Turning a Blind Eye to Maritime Crime and Endangering the Navy and SANDF, While Pushing for Privatization
“As the Navy, we rejected this sellout and unpatriotic decision.”
“Attempts have been made by certain government departments to bring a foreign company to come patrol our waters.”
“The unpatriotic and what appears to be a sellout posture of defunding the SA Navy and the SANDF in general…”
“…these consistent underfunding and incapacitating of the South African Navy and the defence force in general is to ensure the success of the operations that undermine our nation…”
“I often find myself questioning whether those responsible… may be directly or indirectly influenced by these drug cartels, illegal traders, maritime criminals, and human traffickers.”
“…whether the people behind what I would like to call nonsense, if they are not busy with a mission to privatize the SA Navy and the SANDF…”
“…private security is a lucrative business in our country and it is replacing the state security machinery.”
“Should the SA Navy’s roles fall into private hands… the same government that today tells us there is no money to fund the Navy will use government reserves to fund those private security forces.”
We need to put @Musa_Khawula on #MadlangaCommission . He nailed so many things that are happening in South Africa.
He was right about Vusi Cat Matlala, Tebogo Tobejane, KT Molefe Lerato Kganyago
We need @Musa_Khawula to be given a day or two at #MadlangaCommision & #AdHocCommittee
Naturalised citizens must not be allowed to stand for public office. We don’t want people with split loyalties presiding over the affairs of the country.

Dear South Africans, two months from now (28 Nov 2025), Minister of home affairs @Leon_Schreib will announce whether the ZEP (Zimbabwean Exemption Permit) will be cancelled or renewed for the ~178 000 Zimbabweans living in South Africa.
Previous minister Aaron Motsoaledi was blocked by the Pretoria high court in 2023 from cancelling the permit because he didn't consult ZEP holders, the public and necessary stakeholders like humanitarian groups.
Currently, there is no war in Zimbabwe, and the immigrants here are economic migrants. This means that South Africa is babysitting and enabling the Zimbabwean government's corrupt state. It's also sickening to see that Zimbabwean leaders have been lavishly visiting SA but never once ask about the almost 200k Zimbabweans here or take anyone back with them.
As much as we want to help everyone, our economy, healthcare system and schools cannot coddle immigrants from a failed state anymore. The ZEP permit has been in place for 16 years since 2009 and we've done more than enough for Zimbabwe.
I call on Minister Leon Schreiber to start the formal discussions and participations from the public on whether we want the ZEP to be renewed or not.

Modern women will respect corporate leadership, follow office orders and meet deadlines without question, but when her man leads, it’s “controlling.” That’s not empowerment, that’s selective submission.
