"My involvement in the publication of 826michigan's In the Clouds Over Ypsilanti in 2018 is, to date, the work I am most proud of. It meant so much to be able to bring this book, these students, these community role models, with me on this important day."
A huge congratulations to our program manager Megan Gilson! Last week, she graduated from @hgse with her Ed.M. in Education with a concentration in Language & Literacy.
Notice a familiar book in this photo? Megan explains below ⬇
"It's a tradition for students in each of Harvard's graduate schools to bring a prop that represents their school to the university-wide graduation ceremony. When I found out that our school's prop was a children's book, I knew immediately which one I'd bring."
Our winter and yearlong interns are our May Volunteers of the Month! This special group wrapped up their work with us at the end of April and beginning of May. Read more about them here: https://t.co/F898zL9FtT

We are devastated and heartbroken by the many tragedies in these past few weeks. Our hearts are with the victims, their families, and their communities. (1/6)
Students brainstormed, drafted, and revised a Community Manifesto outlining their appreciation for a community they are a part of and the ways they plan to take action towards supporting and sustaining their community. We invite you to reflect and write about this as well. (5/6)
We had a great return to Song Shop this week with teachers and students from @WesternHS_DPSCD in Detroit! Be on the lookout for original songs coming soon!
