“Nobody cares about Manchester City anymore.”

Proceeds to write a full-blown dissertation about Manchester City. 😂😂

Mate, you’ve mentioned City more times than your own club in that essay. You’ve analysed the result, the fans, the trolls, social media reactions, the owners, the money and even how future generations will remember them.

All for a club you supposedly DON’T CARE ABOUT. 🤣

The funniest thing is City have beaten Liverpool 3-0, and instead of moving on with your life, you’ve spent your evening desperately trying to convince strangers that nobody cares.

You don’t even realise you’re the living proof that your entire argument is bollocks.

If City are irrelevant, why are they the main characters in your footballing life?

You’ve somehow managed to turn City’s victory into your own personal therapy session.

City won three points. Liverpool got battered. And you’ve written a farewell speech for a club that’s still living rent-free in your head.

Nobody cares, apparently.

Except you. Quite a lot, actually. 😭😂

[CORRUPT JAY @barlowjacob]

WELL WELL WELL @Carra23 😂😂😂😂

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

😂 You’ve completely missed the point. The red cartel argument isn’t about who spends the most. It’s about protecting power and controlling the rules.

2013: Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Spurs pushed for tighter financial restrictions on wealthy owners.

2020: Liverpool and United spearheaded Project Big Picture, proposing special voting powers for established clubs.

2021: Arsenal, Liverpool and United backed a European Super League with guaranteed places regardless of sporting merit.

See the pattern? Protect established wealth, restrict challengers and secure control over football’s future.

The irony of preaching fair competition while supporting measures that protect the established elite is astonishing.

And you think listing Newcastle’s spending in the 90s disproves all that? 😂

It’s not about who spends the most. It’s about who wants to control how everyone else is allowed to compete.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

HAHAHAHA! 😂 This has to be one of the most ridiculous suggestions yet.

So Sky should stop broadcasting City games? What about the millions of paying subscribers, broadcasting contracts, sponsors, advertisers and commercial partners who’ve invested in those fixtures?

Should Etihad, Puma and every other sponsor just accept their exposure disappearing because Oliver Holt doesn’t like City? 😂

And what about City’s opponents and their sponsors? Should they lose valuable TV exposure too?

Sky paid for broadcasting rights, not the right to conduct its own disciplinary proceedings.

Imagine running a multibillion-pound broadcasting business based on the emotional outbursts of a journalist.

It’s genuinely becoming comedy gold. 😂

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

HAHA! An Arsenal fan suddenly worried about how Coventry and Ipswich are supposed to compete financially? 😂

Remind me, how much have Arsenal spent assembling their squad? Hundreds of millions, haven’t they?

Where was all this concern for fairness when Arsenal were spending £105 million on Declan Rice? Did you stop to consider how Luton, Burnley or Sheffield United were supposed to compete?

Or is financial inequality only a problem when another club has more money than yours?

If you genuinely believe in a level playing field, perhaps Arsenal should voluntarily cap their spending to Coventry’s budget. You know, in the interests of fairness. 😂

By all means, punish proven wrongdoing appropriately. But don’t pretend your concern is about smaller clubs when you’re supporting one of the wealthiest clubs in English football.

Funny how the solution to financial inequality always seems to involve relegating your biggest rival rather than reducing your own club’s advantages. 😂

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

So, by your own standards, you should have stopped supporting Arsenal years ago.

In 2005, Arsenal were punished for using an unlicensed agent and received a suspended transfer ban.

In 2023, Arsenal received multiple FA fines for failing to control their players, including £40,000 following Newcastle and £65,000 following Manchester City.

These weren’t allegations. They were proven disciplinary breaches.

Of course, they’re not comparable in seriousness to City’s financial allegations. But you specifically said you’d stop supporting your club even if the offences were less serious.

So, does that principle apply to Arsenal too, or only to clubs you dislike?

But I suspect you won’t stop supporting Arsenal. Instead, you’ll move the goalposts, find excuses and suddenly start explaining why some rule breaches don’t count.

It’s easy to preach principles when you never intend to apply them to yourself.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

But what if Manchester City successfully overturn the ruling? What happens to the credibility of the Premier League then?

Everyone is demanding punishment, but what about due process and the possibility of a successful appeal? Surely the league’s credibility depends on getting the decision right, not simply delivering the verdict rival fans want to hear.

Justice isn’t about satisfying a football fanbase. It has to work both ways.

[ESPN UK @ESPNUK]

‘DON’T BE SO STUPID!’ 😳

Nicol & Burley in HEATED CLASH over Gravenberch red card vs. Man City

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

Let’s be realistic. Nobody denies City’s owners invested heavily to turn the club into a major force. But investment itself isn’t cheating. If financial rules were broken, there should be consequences, and that’s what the appeal process is there to determine.

But money doesn’t automatically win football matches. It doesn’t score goals, coach players or deliver trophies. United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all spent enormous sums too.

And let’s not pretend football was some level playing field before City came along. The established elite had decades to build their financial advantages.

You can question how City were funded, but claiming everything achieved on the pitch was unearned is ridiculous. Hold the owners accountable where wrongdoing is established, but don’t rewrite football history to suit your argument.

THE INCLINE WALK 12% incline, 3mph, 30 minutes, hands off the rails. About 350 calories, which is roughly what a 30 minute jog burns, with none of the pounding on your knees. Do this 2 or 3 times a week after you lift. If you have to hold the rails, drop the incline to 8 and build up.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

@Sarah_LFC92 There’s a difference between facts and something you desperately want to believe.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

INTEGRITY? Oh, the irony!

Arsenal fans suddenly giving lectures on integrity as though their club has never put a foot wrong.

Let’s talk FACTS. Arsenal were fined £60,000 by the FA in 2015 for breaching football agent regulations over the Calum Chambers transfer. Another £60,000 fine followed in 2023 over their players’ conduct towards a referee.

So where was all this outrage about the “integrity of football” then? Was the entire Premier League a sham? Did every Arsenal result suddenly become meaningless? 🤣

Of course, those offences aren’t the same as City’s financial case, but apparently integrity only becomes a sacred principle when Manchester City are involved.

You cannot preach about integrity while conveniently ignoring your own club’s disciplinary record.

And speaking of integrity, how about respecting the appeals process instead of demanding punishment before it’s finished?

It’s amazing how the word “integrity” gets thrown around when the real complaint seems to be that City challenged the established elite.

Perhaps the biggest thing missing here isn’t footballing integrity. It’s a little consistency in your outrage.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

“No other sport” — you could’ve spent 30 seconds on Google before embarrassing yourself.

Tom Brady played the ENTIRE 2015 NFL season after his Deflategate suspension was overturned, while the NFL appealed.

Kamila Valieva was allowed to compete at the 2022 Winter Olympics despite a positive doping test, following a CAS ruling on her provisional suspension.

Two different sports. Two documented examples.

So much for “no other sport”. 🤣

City have the right to challenge a ruling, just like anyone else. You don’t get to abolish due process simply because you dislike the club.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

😂😂 This is absolutely hilarious. A full-blown farewell speech to football because Manchester City keep upsetting you.

“Cheating teams, cheating refs, cheating owners, cheating broadcasters…” Anyone else you want to accuse? The ball manufacturer? The groundsman? The bloke selling pies? 😂

Funny how football was perfectly fine when the traditional elite were spending fortunes and winning everything. But City come along, challenge their monopoly and suddenly football is dead.

And apparently we’re just ignoring due process now because you’ve already made your mind up.

Anyway, see you next weekend for another emotional breakdown and another announcement that you’re quitting football. 😂💙

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

The hypocrisy is absolutely laughable.

Liverpool fans lecturing everyone about cheating and integrity? Let’s not forget that Liverpool were actually found guilty of breaching Premier League rules in 2017, fined £100,000 and handed an academy transfer ban for illegally approaching a Stoke City youngster.

And unlike City’s ongoing appeal, Liverpool ADMITTED those breaches.

Funny how that conveniently gets forgotten when you’re preaching about the integrity of English football.

City dared to challenge the established elite and break their monopoly on success. That’s what really hurts.

You claim to want fairness, but apparently the rules only matter when it’s a club you dislike.

And accusing City of paying referees without producing evidence? That’s just desperation.

Perhaps get your own house in order before lecturing everyone else about cheating.

[Penguin🐧 @881133AA]

Some of you are genuinely deluded. You’ve already stripped titles, relegated City, demanded a change of ownership and declared an entire decade of English football ruined. All while the case is STILL under appeal.

Yes, the Commission has made its findings, but City have challenged them, and the process hasn’t concluded. Whatever happened to due process?

And let’s not pretend this is purely about financial rules. City dared to challenge the established elite, broke their monopoly on success and disrupted a football hierarchy that had been dominated by the same handful of clubs for decades.

Funny how spending millions was celebrated when the traditional big clubs were doing it, but when City started winning trophies, suddenly they were accused of ruining football.

City didn’t ruin English football. They made the established elite uncomfortable by proving their dominance wasn’t untouchable.

There’s a difference between wanting fair competition and being bitter that the footballing hierarchy has changed.

You don’t want justice. You want City punished because they dared to challenge the status quo.
