Just a jaded, miserable Toronto sports fan. Not yet numb to the first round exits. Former MiLB nobody. Once took Jose Berrios deep #ExperienceTorontoSports
@TGreenhutOD Except for the fact that MLB has had more teams win the championship since 2000 than any of the salary cap leagues, and less repeat winners...But go on about "everyone has a chance"...
Tell that to Red Wings, Sabres, Falcons, Jets, Hornets fans for example
@JMikeMLB@yourbad93179433 Good lord dude...I never once said anything about that, you've been going at me over something I never said. Get a grip. All I said from the get go is teams look for plus tools and then try to harness them and make them usable. That's a fact
@yourbad93179433@JMikeMLB Unless Baseball America has it wrong, he was born 6/6/2008 which makes him just over 18. Regardless, the sentiment stands. Show me how many 19 y/o's on the planet can rip 100mph from the mound. It's still elite elite level as a tool. That's all a combine is for, showing tools
@BrushEmBack@JMikeMLB He figured it out enough to make it to the big leagues at 25, spend 3 years, pitch in MX, JP and get back to the big leagues at 35.
Again, it's not exact science, I never claimed it was. I just said, the orgs see the ceiling and say "lets take the tool and try to harness it"
@BrushEmBack@JMikeMLB I'm not/never have been a pitching coach and never said it's easy. Tayron Guerrero was a teammate of mine in Eugene. Walked 1 per inning, had a wild pitch every other inning. Also had a 100mph FB and a great build for a P. Guess who hung around long enough to figure it out?

"This isn't the try league. It's the get it done league"...Vlad is getting paid a half a billion dollars. Springer was bound to regress he's 36.
The "grace" ran out a month or two in. It's halfway through the year, collectively they need to get it going
@BlueJaysDad The same guy who didn't play most of the playoffs? What they are missing is their half billion dollar thumper, who has in the course of 8 months gone from BEST HITTER ON PLANET to completely replaceable. They're missing the fact that every guy outperformed career avg last yr too
@JMikeMLB Dude...where are you coming up with this? My response wasn't aggressive, made perfect sense and you're off on all these tangents. Of course they've seen him. The coach he works with said the plan for the event was "show pitchability first, then show ceiling at the end" WOW
@JMikeMLB Drafted twice, played in College World Series, 6 years affiliated and 3 more in indy
Again...I never said I thought they all could. I said that's the point of a showcase, to show off the tool. I said the orgs think they can harness the tool.
Keep making things up here😂
@StlllWest You can't pay a guy a half billion dollars to be a singles hitter. You can't pay a guy to be your franchise cornerstone to not drive in runs. Look at what he did in the playoffs, he's capable of hitting for high average an power. He changed something this year, and it blew up
@CaseyToGo Please stick to soccer if this is an honest take of yours. My goodness...One of the craziest innings ever, after being down 2-0 in the series and then he UNLOADS on Dyson to basically win the series. One of the worst takes I've ever read
@theoxycleanman@anthony_ranaudo It doesn't happen in college hockey, and wouldn't in college baseball. It's not a guaranteed contract, it's the rights to sign the player. If the kid decides not to play, then the MLB team would say "this kid doesn't want to play" and not sign him after his eligibility period
@Hockeyockeyha@wyshynski@R_Stinsenbergen The sooner Leafs fans realize Greg is a desperate for attention hack and stop replying, the sooner he'll disappear like Mitchy does in big moments. Without Leafs fans, NHL writers like Greg would have tiny audiences and they all know it. It's why they poked the bear for 2 months
@IanKennedyCK Here, we'll take your 1st, 3rd and 4th highest point scorers through expansion, bump you to the bottom of the draft behind the teams taking your players, and expect you to still buy tickets, merchandise etc.
That oughta create stability!!
@IanKennedyCK ahh yes, nothing says competitive balance like teams losing their entire forward group and then drafting 8th after missing the playoffs. That makes perfect sense
@thepwhlofficial Yipee...This whole thing is an absolute disaster. You've ruined the original teams ability to compete, allowed for backdoor garbage like this, and still somehow wedged all the expansion teams ahead of Toronto and NY in the draft. Disgraceful
@JeffStanek1 - Hitters don't see the same arm multiple times per game
- Pitchers don't pitch to contact
- Defensive strategy has dramatically improved so guys stand where hitters hit the ball
- Incentive is HR and OPS+ not AVG
- K isn't taboo any more
It's not one thing, it's everything
@nickstrong Or here's an idea if you don't want to get ejected...don't act like an idiot. On a called strike (ASU kid) or on a HR (GA kid). It's not swag, it's a kid trying to go viral so he can post on social to dunk on people. Congrats, you went viral, + cost your team by getting suspended
