The courts of the Eighth Judicial Circuit will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026, in observance of Good Friday. The courts will resume normal hours on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Union County Court Judge Mitch Bishop traded the courtroom for the classroom. His photo booth and gavel were a hit! Beyond the fun photos, the kids shared what they think makes a great judge: someone who is knowledgeable, honorable, trustworthy… and enjoys reading!
Judge Sean Brewer has been busy helping the next generation of legal leaders. He helped a mock trial team prepare for their upcoming trial and helped a group of Scouts earn their Law Merit and Crime Prevention badges. From the bench to the community, he’s doing it all!
