@alh578_ And what a coincidence, who else tried to obfuscate that conflict and act as if everything was fine and dandy between Ali and Mu’awiyah…. the Sunnis
@alh578_ It does. They were indifferent to Ali and Mu’awiyah’s conflict. If you can say they necessarily are not Sunni I can say they are necessarily not Shia.,what a dumb assertion.
@alh578_ You brought up Al-Zamakhshari. He was literally a Hanafi in fiqh and a Muʿtazili in theology. That alone shows that being Muʿtazili and being part of the Sunni legal tradition were not mutually exclusive identities.
@alh578_ If so, this attempt,of, yours to quickly dismiss them as not Sunni doesn’t work. Clearly there is historical reason for them to be seen as Sunni
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty Obviously you can look at things now after one side has won the internal debate won, and dismiss the others as never having been part of the group to begin with, but I’m far more intelligent than you for that to work
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty You are really dumb, you could have been Mutazili in regards to matters like creation of the Qur’an, but then Hanafi In jurisprudence, and broadly “not pro Alid” inpolitical orientation, these are Sunni mutazalites
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty Thr screenshot you posted 2 seconds ago literally points to what im saying😂. For centuries Sunnis limited the rightly guided ones to Umar Bakr and Uthman, only recently did they start including Ali to their nasabi past
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty Your views on this matter are clearly flimsy. You didn’t have a defined “4 rightly guided caliphs” until a few centuries ago. And now you want to act like it’s an entrenched position 😂 silly Sunni
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty I think you need a refresher on some elementary points. The core split was on the basis of succession. This is evidenced by the fact that there were Sunnis, who for a period of time, believed in the createdness of the Qur’an. Dont act like that was just an always present belief.
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty And please don’t misunderstand me , i really dont like sunnism and would hate to be one, it’s just hard to admit that they don’t have a better grip on theology relative to twelvers, as much as id love to argue the opposite
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty I think you’re who’s confused. Your confusing ideals with tenets of faith. Sure, of course, Sunnis dont recognize Ali as being greater than the rest, but that doesn’t make you not a Sunni if you do.
@alh578_@EdgeOfInfinty Are you dull ? For Twelvers, the Imamate is divinely appointed (theological) and part of the core of religion. Zaydis reject that entire framework, placing them much closer to the Sunni understanding that leadership is…
