A lot of the issue on all roads, including motorways, is that people are concentrating on screens, both the vehicle inbuilt touch screens and photos.

@dharford79 Yes, and it would appear that only motorcycle riders who are also drivers,are aware of painted road markings and manhole covers, will be very slippery, along with spilt fuel on roundabouts.
Not to mention that the general road surface will be very oily etc
